Classic meets modern
The Koninginneroute (Queen's Route) in The Hague has been completely renovated since 2007 and was officially opened by Princess Maxima last year. The only thing that this attractive location lacked was public lighting. Arsis Industrial Design developed a new fitting for the municipality of The Hague, specially for the renovation of Lange Voorhout. Making the Koninginneroute identifiable and distinctive was the general philosophy when this lighting was designed. That is why the light fittings have been beautifully finished with a gold-plated crown and ornaments.
The modern fitting has been given a classic look that fits in well with the historic environment. The special thing about this fitting is that it is not only used as street lighting but also for lighting the foliage of the trees (a listed feature!) by applying modern LED lighting.
